PDK Travel was founded by Patty Krumrey, a travel advisor for over 30 years. Her personality and vision are such that she sees trips and adventures through the eyes of the client as though she is there with you. Patty’s husband Doug recently joined the team and together they love helping their clients see the world.

I always knew I would be in Travel!
My first love was flying. Hooked on airplanes and the excitement of exploring a new destination I knew I wanted to share this passion by creating special memorable journeys for clients.
I've created and escorted groups to South Africa and sailed on most of the cruise lines out there, add in a little adventure and shopping and you have the most perfect holiday.
In my spare time I love to travel. Some of my all time favorites are South Africa, Botswana, Australia, Ireland, Greek Islands, Croatia. My highlight for shopping is Istanbul.
My favorite quote from Mark Twain says.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you did not do than the ones you did do. So throw off your bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails.”

I spent 30 years in the insurance industry, heading a department of ten people where we wrote $175 million in premium. As part of the travel industry now, I love to help people plan memorable trips and expand their horizons in fascinating places around the world.

My Favorite Travel Destinations:
I love Africa. My wife and I escort a group at least once a year. Our favorite places are South Africa, Botswana, and Victoria Falls.
I also have a great fondness for Australia. The people are very welcoming and completely down to earth. They look out for one another and don’t themselves too seriously. They have FUN. The natural beauty is exquisite from the Great Barrier Reef to Uluru to the southern shores.
Turkey is beautiful – the people are genuinely friendly and happy. Their culture is fascinating, the food is amazing and it’s such a fresh and exciting destination.
I’ve been to four continents. A few recent trips: A Windstar cruise from Lisbon to Barcelona. We will be on Regent Seven Seas Cruises in November from Auckland to Sydney.

I know Africa and South America well, mainly Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia.
My “Wow” Travel Moments:
In Victoria Falls, the view is unforgettable. The crashing thunder of the water and the vastness of the falls is remarkable.
An Africa safari is life-changing. You have moments where you see a pride of lions with cubs playing in the grass or you are on a game drive, stop the vehicle, and a cheetah walks three feet by you but completely ignores you and keeps on going.
